They generate a huge range and volume of material throughout the UK. The diverse nature of the audience requires a neutral look that can appeal to all ages, ethnic groups and locations.
Particular attention needs to be given to clarity, they have their own typeface and colour palette that must be strictly followed.

Poster campaign
A regional campaign in the North of England aimed at encouraging new mothers to breast feed. I used an illustrative approach to avoid any glorification of the subject which also allowed me to show different age groups and skin tones in a sensitive way. |
Pandemic leaflet A national campaign leaflet to make people aware of the dangers of the flu pandemic. I also did the illustrations. The leaflet was produced at very short notice and with a tight deadline to ensure the campaign was relevant at the height of the pandemic. This was a very high profile project, leaflets were sent to households and available at GPs surgeries. |
Hospital information leaflets A series of information leaflets designed for a regional NHS trust. The leaflets had to be lively and informative with the information presented in a clear factual manner. The series of leaflets were all individually colour coded for quick reference, but also had to be seen as part of a 'family' with the possibility of adding new leaflets. |
